Prakash is a part-time PhD student in the Three Counties School of Nursing & Midwifery at the University of Worcester.
Prakash’s main research interest is education, training and stability of emergency medicine doctors. His PhD research concerns how middle-grade doctors could be developed into consultants through a structured in-house training programme based on Self Determination Theory. He is conducting a mixed-methods study into a mixed-method evaluation of structured CESR (Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) training programme in emergency medicine.
Prakash is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine department at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals (DBTH) NHS Trust. Prakash is very grateful to DBTH for funding his PhD.
His supervisors are Associate Professor Theresa Mitchell and Professor Kay Mohana.
