If you’re enthusiastic about the environment and would like to get involved with planting your very own fruit and vegetables right here on campus, then you have come to the right place!

Our fruit and vegetable allotment

A green tomatoes from the University allotment

The University has its very own allotment, where you can get involved and learn about planting different seeds, weeding, transplanting, find out how to make the best compost, dig beds, as well as gain additional knowledge about different plants, beetles and the eco system. Our busiest season is spring, though we are always looking for people to come along and help us out.

Working in the Allotment provides a great distraction from your glaring PC screen and you can enjoy some nice fresh air, while being active at the same time. So if you would like to grow your very own, completely free (the university provides all the seeds as well as the equipment) organic, healthy food with no carbon footprint, then get involved!
