Planning ahead is essential when applying to university. Below you’ll find the key dates and deadlines for undergraduate applications, including when to apply for Student Finance and accommodation.
Key application dates for 2026/27

2 September 2025 – UCAS applications for 2026 entry open.
Start your application early to give yourself plenty of time to prepare your personal statement and references.

14 January 2026 (6:00 PM UK time) – UCAS equal consideration deadline.
Submit your application by this date for the best chance of receiving offers from your chosen universities. We will still consider applications to many of our courses after this date.

Late February 2026 – UCAS Extra opens.
If you’ve used all five choices and are not holding any offers, UCAS Extra allows you to apply for additional courses.

6 May 2026 – UCAS “Decline by Default” deadline.
If you have received all decisions by 31 March, you must reply to your offers by this date, or your application will be declined automatically.

3 June 2026 – Final date to reply to all decisions.
If you have received all decisions by 13 May, you must respond to your offers by this date, or your application will be declined automatically.

30 June 2026 (6:00 PM UK time) – UCAS application deadline.
Applications submitted after this date will automatically enter Clearing.

2 July 2026 – UCAS Clearing opens.
Clearing is your chance to find a place if you haven’t secured one yet.

13 August 2026 – A-Level Results Day.
Update Student Finance if your university or course changes.

Late August 2026 – Deadline for meeting offer conditions.
Ensure all exam results and documents are submitted by this point.

24 September 2026 – Final date for 2026 entry applications.

February 2026 onwards - Successful applicants will be sent a link to CAS Shield
You will then be able to upload documents and information, including passport scans and English Language requirements. Our Admissions and Visa teams will review these before your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) can be issued.

April 2026 onwards – CAS letters issued for visa applications.
Please apply for your visa within 24 hours of receiving your CAS

1 June 2026 – Tuition fee deposits due.
You will find the deposit amount outlined in your offer letter.
Accommodation application dates

19 January 2026 – Accommodation applications open.

5 June 2026 – Apply by this date to guarantee university-managed accommodation.
Accommodation is allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, so it’s important that you apply early for the best chance at getting your preferred accommodation.

- 12 May 2026 – UCAS application for undergraduate applications open for 2027 entry
