How does it work?

Each subject is made up of modules, some lasting a whole academic year and other modules lasting half a year to enable you to achieve the right balance of core knowledge and skills. It will also offer you the opportunity to follow your interests. In Year 1, you study your two subjects in equal weighting. In year 2, you can opt to:

  • Continue studying  your subjects in equal weighting - a Joint Honours degree
  • Specialise more in one subject and take the other as a minor - a Major/Minor Honours Degree
  • Focus entirely on one subject - Single Honours degree, provided the subject is offered as a Single Honours Degree.

Your academic tutor will help you plan your studies, review your progress and choose your modules.
