She graduates with First Class Honours in her degree in Primary Initial Teacher Education and is now working at a primary school teaching Year 1.

“Teaching has been a goal of mine from a very young age, and to have secured a job and to have achieved a First Class Honours degree, the hard work has definitely paid off,” she said.

“In the future, I aspire to return to University of Worcester to complete a Master’s degree, and gain more responsibilities within the education system.”

Abbie, age 21, also achieved a Gold Worcester Award during her studies at the University, which is awarded to students who participate in a range of extra activities alongside their studies to help boost their employability.

Talking about her decision to come to Worcester, she added: “Despite being a big decision, I found it easy to choose the University of Worcester as my first choice. On the open day, the University had a lovely atmosphere and the academic staff were very supportive and friendly.”
