Jamie graduated with a BSc(Hons) in Radiography (Diagnostic Imaging) from City University London in 2012 and practiced clinically as a Diagnostic Radiographer for several years, eventually specialising in interventional cardiology at the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre. Here, Jamie worked as part of the cardiac catheter lab team, treating patients with coronary artery disease and cardiac arrhythmias. Jamie graduated with my MSc in Physician Associate studies and successfully passed his UK PA National Examination in September 2017. Following this he obtained his first position as a Physician Associate in Clinical Haematology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, London and continues to enjoy his work here. Jamie is on a three-year training rotation through inpatient haemato-oncology, outpatient/general haematology and sickle cell disease. Jamie is developing skills in bone marrow biopsies, vascular access line insertions, exchange blood transfusions as well as running outpatient clinics.
