David is a Human Geographer whose work sits at the intersection of economic, critical, and environmental geography. His research revolves around sustainability transitions in tourism and energy, political ecology of tourism, urban political ecology, and environmental justice with field research spanning Australia, Peru, and India. David has a strong interest in bottom-up power, grassroots organisations, and local resistances in adverse contexts, especially in the Global South. David is skilled in qualitative and visual methods that he utilises to better understand the complex relationships between society and nature. Besides research, David is highly dedicated to promoting effective, inclusive, and welcoming learning environments for all students.
