The University of Worcester has been ranked in the top 20 in the Country for graduate prospects in the Complete University Guide 2027.

The University ranks 18th in the country for its graduate prospects overall with several courses ranked in the top 10, including Counselling, Psychotherapy and Occupational Therapy courses, which are ranked joint 1st, and Biomedical Sciences and Forensic Science programmes, which are both joint 2nd. Worcester also ranks joint 5th for Graduate Prospects on its programmes in the field of Childhood and Youth Studies.

While the Complete University Guide uses Graduate Outcomes data over a more recent period, data from the Government’s Longitudinal Educational Outcomes (LEO) shows Worcester to be the top multi-subject university in the UK for sustained employment, further study, or both, over several years (2017-2025). 96% of Worcester graduates progress into work or further study within 15 months of graduating.

Professor David Green CBE DL, Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive of the University of Worcester, said: “We’re pleased to see these outstandingly strong results for our graduates in areas including Biomedical Science and Forensic Science programmes.”

“The rankings are a strong reflection of the approach the University of Worcester takes to employability, with academic schools, specialist careers teams, and professional services working together to embed career development at every stage of the student journey,” continued Professor Green.

He said: “Worcester is also top in the UK for Quality Education in the Times Higher Education’s Unviersity Impact Rankings (currently joint 1st) and has been in the top 5 every year since its inception in 2019.”

Professor Green paid tribute to the hard work of all those involved in the achievement. He said: “It’s important to thank the partners across many industries, from the NHS to important local businesses, who provide such valuable work placements for our students, and I’d like to thank our staff for their inspirational teaching and encouragement to our students.”
