One of the region’s most prestigious motoring companies has supported an initiative to help University of Worcester students dress for success, making a generous donation of smart clothing to the University’s Wardrobe Project.

Colleagues at the Morgan Motor Company, based in Malvern, donated a variety of tops, trousers, shirts, suits, coats and more to The Wardrobe, located within Worcester Business School.
Launched last year, The Wardrobe invites members of the community to donate high-quality professional clothing that students can borrow for interviews, placements and networking events, ensuring that access to smart attire is never a barrier to opportunity.
Carley-Rose Brookes, from the Morgan Motor Company, said: “It has been a pleasure to get involved in this initiative. It’s so important that students have access to suitable clothing to help them feel confident, look smart, and attend interviews feeling their best.”
“So many colleagues from across Morgan have generously donated to the scheme,” she added. “We are proud to have played a small part in this wardrobe initiative.”
The Wardrobe was created by Janey Robins, Placements and Internships Coordinator at Worcester Business School, after speaking with students who were attending professional settings but didn’t have a collection of smart outfits to wear.
“We were all absolutely delighted when we learned that the team at the Morgan Motor Company wanted to help out,” said Janey. “It makes such a difference to our students when they can put on something professional and head into their interviews and placements really feeling like they belong there; it can be a real boost to self-belief.”
She continued: “The Wardrobe initiative has been so incredibly successful because there are so many people out there who have built up big collections of really nice smart clothes, but they just don’t get much use, either because people are working from home more, or they’ve moved to a more casual office environment.”
“This gives the garments a new life and enables people already established in the workplace to help out students as they take those first steps in business,” she added. “We’re so grateful to everyone who has donated, and we’re looking forward to seeing even more come through the doors.”
