Founder and CEO of the award-winning company Micro-Fresh, Byron is an innovator who is widely recognised for his contributions to the industry.

His Micro-Fresh technology is now used globally by manufacturers and retailers to protect and preserve the freshness of products by preventing mould, bacteria and viruses.

At the lecture, to be held at the University of Worcester Arena on 12 March 17.00-20.00, he will share the story behind Micro-Fresh, reflect on the challenges of scaling a business, and explore what the future may hold for other entrepreneurs.

Attendees will hear Mr Dixon’s insights and practical advice, offering valuable takeaways to support their own strategic decision-making.

Mr Dixon said: “Building Micro-Fresh wasn’t just about a clever formula; it was about the grit to scale. I’m looking forward to sharing the real story at Worcester; the mistakes, the wins and the pivots that turned a laboratory idea into a global brand found in products and stores around the world.”

“Innovation isn’t just for the ‘big guys’”, he continued. “I started with a background in leather finishing and a vision to make ‘freshness’ a global verb. I want to show Worcester’s business students that with the right mindset, you can disrupt any industry from the ground up.”

Mr Dixon added: “I know first-hand that business schools are more than just classrooms, they are engines for growth. I’m thrilled to be back in an academic setting to help others find that same spark.”

Dr Scott Andrews, Head of Worcester Business School, said: “We are delighted to welcome Byron Dixon to Worcester, for this special occasion. His experiences and insights have already inspired thousands of SME leaders and managers across the UK, and I am sure that his presentation at the annual lecture will provide plenty of takeaways that local businesses can apply into their organisation’s future growth plans.”

The lecture takes place on 12 March 17.00-20.00 at the University of Worcester Arena; tickets are free, but booking is essential. Follow this link to book.
