The University of Worcester is once again the top multi-subject university in the UK for sustained graduate employment, further study or both, one year after graduation.
Worcester graduates are more successful at getting and sustaining employment than graduates from any other university in the country which offers a broad spectrum of subjects.
The latest release of Longitudinal Educational Outcomes (LEO) data from the government confirms that Worcester continues to be top for jobs. Since the LEO was launched in 2017, Worcester has averaged the top-spot for multi-subject universities for sustained employment, with or without further study, 1, 3 or 5 years after graduation.
These definitive Official Statistics show that Worcester graduates are more successful at getting and sustaining employment than graduates from any other university in the country which offers a broad spectrum of subjects.
Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive Professor David Green CBE said: “To be recognised once again as the leading multi-subject university in the UK for sustained graduate employment is a tremendous achievement for our graduates as well as staff and employer partners. These results demonstrate the lasting value of a Worcester education and our unwavering focus on helping students succeed during their studies and throughout their careers.
“Over many years, we have continually evolved our courses to respond to workforce needs and the changing demands of employers. We work closely with employers and partner organisations across health, education, business, science, sport, the creative industries and many other sectors to ensure our students gain relevant knowledge, practical experience and professional skills that prepare them for successful careers.
“Our integrated approach brings together academic excellence, work placements, employability opportunities and dedicated careers support, ensuring students can make informed career choices and develop the confidence to thrive in the workplace.
“We are particularly proud that these outstanding outcomes are achieved while providing life-changing opportunities for students from a wide range of backgrounds. Our graduates go on to make an extraordinary contribution to their professions, communities and public services, and these results are a testament to their talent, ambition and hard work.”
95% of Worcester graduates are in work or further study 15 months after graduating, according to the Graduate Outcomes Survey 2026.
In 2025, Worcester was shortlisted for University of the Year in the prestigious Times Higher Education Awards in recognition of its employability record and went on to be shortlisted for University of the Year in the 2026 Graduate Futures Institute’s Academic Employability Awards.
The results have been praised by leaders in the City.
Sharon Smith, Chief Executive of Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, who is herself an alumnus of the University, said: “These results are fantastic and a real vote of confidence in the quality of education and support that the University provides to its students. As a graduate of the University myself, I know first-hand the positive impact it can have on people's lives and careers.
“Achieving such strong employment outcomes not only benefits individuals but also strengthens our local economy by providing businesses with the skilled workforce they need to grow and succeed.”
Lynn Denham, Leader of Worcester City Council, added: “Congratulations to the University of Worcester for yet again being rated 'top for jobs' in the UK. Well done to all the graduates who have successfully moved into employment and are now sharing their skills and love of Worcester with others in the workplace. It is good to know that employers value the education and training that our university provides. We are lucky that there are so many opportunities in the city to be supported into better jobs.”
