Residents across the Dudley Borough are invited to find out more about higher education study at a series of library-based roadshows.
The first cohort of Nursing students began their studies in Dudley last year. The libraries roadshow will help more people find out about opportunities.
The University of Worcester is the higher education partner in a new facility under construction in Castle Hill, Dudley, and will be offering a range of degrees for local people. The first cohort of University of Worcester BSc Adult Nursing students began their studies in Dudley last September and are currently being taught at the Black Country & Marches Institute of Technology.
Sally Moyle, Pro Vice Chancellor at the University, said: “We were delighted to welcome our first cohort of Nursing students in Dudley last September, who have settled in and are progressing into their second year and we look forward to welcoming our second cohort this autumn.
“The new building on Castle Hill is progressing well and once complete will allow us to further expand our course offer.”
The University will be hosting a series of roadshows at libraries across the Dudley Borough this summer for people to find out more about courses.
The dates and locations are:
- Tuesday, August 19: 10am–12pm at Netherton and 2pm–4pm at Brierley Hill
- Wednesday, August 20: 10am–12pm at Coseley and 2pm-4pm at Sedgley
- Thursday, August 21: 10am-12pm at Stourbridge and 2pm-4pm at Wordsley
- Tuesday, August 26: 10am-12pm at Dudley and 2pm-4pm at Lye
- Wednesday, August 27: 10am-12pm at Halesowen (Cornbow Shopping Centre) and 2pm-4pm at Cradley
- Thursday, August 28: 10am-12pm at Gornal and 2pm-4pm at Kingswinford
