Please read what some of our current German students are saying about Worcester.

When I decided to study in the UK, I looked into a range of different universities all over the country. In the end, I decided to come to Worcester due to the great course opportunities offered by this university, the amazing care of the International Office I experienced when I came for my first visit and the beautiful city itself. Since I have started my course I was always able to seek help with any member of the International Office who is very willing to help you to solve your problems and make you feel at home.
What I love the most about my course is the hands-on experience you can gain in the practical parts of the lectures.
The main focus of my lectures is always the experimental side of things which makes studying much more interesting and challenging. As part of my course, I also took the opportunity to go on a work placement in a laboratory over the summer.
This gave me the chance to test and improve my practical skills gained at University and to work in a professional environment. With the University’s great reputation and the support given by my tutor, it was easy to find a suitable placement which I really enjoyed.
I have been recently awarded with an £1,000 Academic Scholarship for my second year achievements. This made me very proud and has shown me that even though English is not my first language I am able to achieve good results.
Besides being a great place to study at, the University also offers a range of free time activities especially for international students.
Coming to Worcester was definitely the right decision for me and I am proud that I was given the opportunity to study here.

Warm welcome, perfect organisation, optimum support and interesting lectures … These are my first impressions of the University of Worcester.
I was very excited about the students’ life in the United Kingdom and how it is different to the German way of studying. After a few days I recognized that I don’t have to worry because there are no big differences.
The tutors welcomed us very warmly and they impressed me by their openness. Moreover, they organize the lectures very interestingly and instructively. The course is also very nice and friendly. One reason could be that there are a lot of international students who are all new to the United Kingdom and they are in the same situation as me. I am sure that some very nice friendships will grow.
After the first few weeks, I can say that I made the right decision by studying in Worcester and I would recommend it to everyone who likes smaller Universities with a great support and a nice personal atmosphere.
Besides the University I was impressed by the city of Worcester. It is a very clean, green, safe and historical city with nice possibilities to go shopping, go partying and attending events. I found a nice apartment near the City Centre and the University very easily and for an affordable price. A lot of other nice places such as Birmingham, Oxford, Cardiff or the Malvern Hills are very close by and afford a wide range of exciting trips.
