Please read what some of our current Czech students are saying about Worcester.
Jan Mrazek from Czech Republic
Business Management, Marketing & Advertising BA (Hons)
When I was thinking about my future, I knew that I want to gain as much experience as possible so I decided to step out of my comfort zone and go to study abroad. When I saw Worcester, I felt in love with it immediately.
The beauty of this city and its history have earned me at first sight. I’m really enjoying to study something in what I feel purpose. Thinking like a marketer during marketing lectures and thinking about creation the best adverts during the advertising ones. All this with international experience and thought that now I will not be lost in this big world. I like the walks around the river and this amazing cathedral.
The worst thing here? Is that I have left my family and friends at home. However, I have managed to create new friendships at University. I have always received the greatest support from my lecturers so I know that I am never alone in anything.
After I finish my degree, with tears in my eye, I will look around for the Worcester and will go back to my first home, to share my experience I gained here. I enjoyed my years of studying here because I was studying something I really wanted to and I felt really engaged during my three years here. I would recommend University of Worcester to any international student who wants to fulfil their dreams about great university and to have amazing international experience.

Business, Human Resource Management & Public Relations BA (Hons)
My main drive to pick up the Worcester Uni out of many others has been a huge amount of local student support, a cosy town, green areas around Worcester and a combination of degree which matches a range of my interest and skills.
I’m currently undertaking my placement year at Airbus Operations Ltd. in the UK, doing Human Resources Business Partner Internship. However, my degree is in Business, Human Resource Management & Public Relations … that’s quite a long title, isn’t it? ?
To me, the most enjoyable element about the course is its versatility as I wasn’t completely sure what I would like to do in my future when applying for a uni (and I still don’t know it yet :-D). Thus, I chose the course where I can apply and develop my biggest strength which is communication that comprises the basics of both HR as well as PR practices.
Being international student, I mainly appreciate tutors’ patience when double (or triple) explaining the topics and willing to spend their extra time out of the lectures by supporting me in my personal development. Another highly valuable support I consider to be the Centre for Academic English and Skills where you can always book an appointment and check your essays.
My plans for future are to enjoy my Airbus placement alongside the student life to the fullest. Once I finish the University, I definitely want to keep challenging myself by working and living in other different countries as I have experienced already by studying a semester in Belgium via Erasmus Exchange Program.
