Kate joined the University of Worcester in November 2021 as a Senior Lecturer in Primary Education, with a specialist focus on mathematics and science. In addition to her teaching role, she is Placement Manager within the Placement Team, where she oversees school partnerships, coordinates student placements, and supports the development of high-quality professional experiences. She has taught on Initial Teacher Education programmes since 2009 and has also contributed to Early Childhood and Primary Education courses.

Before moving into higher education, Kate worked as a primary school teacher across the EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2. During this time, she served on the Senior Leadership Team, held subject leadership roles in mathematics and science, and supported colleagues as both an ECT and student mentor.

Kate is deeply passionate about primary education and is committed to inspiring future teachers by modelling effective, research-informed approaches to learning and teaching.

  • PGCE Primary specialising in mathematics (Canterbury Christ Church University)
  • BSc (Hons) (The University of East Anglia)
