Academic English modules

If you want to improve your academic English skills and you're a first or second-year student, you may be able to enrol for our Academic English modules.

If you want advice on how to improve your use of academic English in your essay or presentation, the Language Centre offers daily 20-minute sessions that are open to all registered students, whether English is your first language or not.

 

How to book an Academic English session

You can book an Academic English 1-1 session using our online booking system.

To book a session, select a free slot on the weekly schedule. To secure your appointment, you’ll need to fill in some personal details, including your student number.

The tutor will see students waiting for free slots on a first-come-first-served basis.

Please note: you can book up to two sessions per week, after which tutors will cancel additional bookings.

Time: 14:00-16:00 every weekday during the University teaching semester.

Location: Jenny Lind, workstations opposite room JLG018.
