Research Degree Students
Antoinette is a part-time PhD student in the School of Education at the University of Worcester.
Antoinette’s main research interest is childhood trauma and the psychological, physiological and neurological effects – both long term and short term – that can affect a young person’s development, quality of adult life and overall life expectancy. Her PhD research concerns childhood trauma exacerbated by or as a consequence of the global pandemic, exploring the current support available in primary schools and identifying ways to improve this in order for the child to make the fullest recovery possible. Antoinette is self-funding her PhD.
Her supervisors are Professor Alison Kington, Dr Blaire Morgan and Dr Mandy Duncan.
In addition to working towards the PhD, Antoinette works as a HLTA at a local special school.
