Student Life

Our graduates share their experience of university life, including opportunities, support and the transition to university. Through interactive activities, students will also get the opportunity to explore a Week in the Life of a University Student.

Personal Statement Workshop 

Gatsby: 3,7,8 

Including advice and techniques to write a personal statement that will support their application, this led workshop gives students the chance to learn about the application process and practice strategies to help them begin writing their statement.

Student Finance and Money Matters

Gatsby: 4,5,7 

In this interactive workshop, students will understand the Student Finance England system, research grants, scholarships and bursaries and challenge common misconceptions around managing money at university. Through a card-based activity, they will learn the importance of budgeting and how to do it effectively.

Clearing and Next Steps

Do your students know what clearing is? This talk helps students understand how it works, top tips for preparing for clearing and guidance on their next steps.

Exam Stress and Study Techniques

Students will learn about how to recognise stressors, their behaviours when stressed and tools to help them manage and mitigate stress. They’ll explore a selection of study techniques that compliment stress reducing strategies.

Motivation: Where does it come from?

Using a relatable case study students will reflect on their own motivation for education and what their career goal might be. We’ll attempt to break down some of the perceived barriers to their chosen career and set some process goals.
