Student Ambassador Scheme
Our students are an important asset. We know that current students play a major role in helping others to find out about higher education, life as a student and the University itself.
What are student ambassadors?
Student Ambassadors are role models, trained by the University’s Communications and Participation team to support a variety of activities. This can include working at taster days and open days, giving campus tours, chatting to potential students online, and creating digital content.
The events we work on are designed to raise aspirations and awareness of higher education and often involve working with potential students.
Many students also work in administrative roles across the campus. Sometimes we are able to match skills with quite specialised jobs (for example, our top journalism students can work alongside the University’s Press Officer). The role of Student Ambassador offers flexible work opportunities for our students.

Becoming a Student Ambassador is very rewarding – it not only develops your communication skills, it also increases your employability and gives you the opportunity to work in a variety of professional settings.

How to apply?
