Car Parking Information

 

Students and staff are strongly encouraged to find other ways of travelling to and from campus than by car and/or to car share. 

Alternatively, there is an opportunity to hire bikes on campus as well as several areas for bike storage.

Student car parking permits        

Student car parking permits for those students resident more than one mile from the St John’s campus will be available at £174 per annum, valid from 1 August 2022 to 31 July 2023. The Student Parking Permit Table details the range of permits on offer and their prices.           

Safety and security

For reasons of safety and security, barriers to car parks may, on occasions be closed.  Security are available 24/7 and can facilitate entry / exit if required. Any questions or concerns can be emailed to security@worc.ac.uk or you can call us on 01905 855000.

Types of permit

St John’s Campus permits

  • Please note: students living on campus and within one mile of St John’s Campus are strongly discouraged from bringing a car onto campus between the hours of 9am and 5pm.
  • Car parking permits for those who are resident on campus or less than one mile from St John’s Campus will be available at £335 per set semester period (1 August 2022 – 31 January 2023; or 1 February 2023 to 31 July 2023 inclusive). This includes residents of St John’s Campus, residents of City Campus, all other halls of residence and University-managed properties within one mile of St John's Campus. 
  • For students that require travel to and from a placement throughout the semester (while studying on a Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedic Science, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Physician Associate, Social Work or Teaching course), the cost of this permit is reduced to £255. 
  • Students requiring a permit for a set 6 month semester period will be able to purchase a permit for these periods for £103. Please note: you will need to be a resident more than one mile from St John’s to apply (1 August 2022 – 31 January 2023; or 1 February 2023 to 31 July 2023 inclusive).

Off peak permits

  • £41 Off peak permit. This permit will only allow parking on University campuses outside the peak hours (8am – 5pm Monday to Friday); anytime at weekends, bank holidays and during the months July and August 2023.

Eligibility criteria

  • Resident in any University halls or managed accommodation across the city.
  • Living within one mile of the University of Worcester St John's Campus.

Cost

  • £335.00 per semester

  • Semester 1 – 1 August 2022 to 31 January 2023
  • Semester 2 – 31 January 2023 to 31 July 2023

  • Valid for those students living more than 1 mile from the University of Worcester St John's Campus.
  • Not living in University halls or managed accommodation

  • £103.00 per semester

  • Semester 1 – 1 August 2022 to 31 January 2023
  • Semester 2 – 31 January 2023 to 31 July 2023
