Tim is a part-time PhD student in the School of Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Worcester.

Tim’s main research interests are enquiries in Coach Learning and Development from a constructivist pedagogical approach.  His PhD research concerns educating the educators; how coach educators conceptualise their practice, with particular attention to researching the cognitive structures that drive their practice.  He is conducting qualitative enquiries into the perceptions, experiences and value found in coach educators training, and seeking to pilot an innovative coach developer programme from his findings.

His supervisors are Professor Don Vinson and Dr Andy Cale.

In addition to working towards his PhD, Tim works as the Head of Football at Moulton College, as well as teaching across Further and Higher Education Programmes.  Tim enjoys balancing his roles as lecturer, researcher and practitioner, applying his findings in learning and pedagogic theory to all areas of his work.
