Samantha Meredith is Deputy Head of Department for Nursing within the School of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Worcester. She is also a Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing and Course Lead for the BSc Pre-registration Nursing programme.
Samantha is a registered nurse with extensive experience in nursing education, practice learning and student support. She holds a Master's degree in Professional Practice and has recently completed a systematic review exploring student nurse retention. Her interests include student experience, retention and success, compassionate leadership, practice learning, widening participation and workforce development.
Alongside her teaching and leadership responsibilities, Samantha contributes to curriculum development, quality assurance, student progression and professional practice matters. She is committed to supporting nursing students to achieve their potential and to developing an inclusive and positive learning environment.
