Mia graduated from the University of Worcester in 2023 with a First Class Honours in Sports Therapy, receiving an academic scholarship in 2022. 

Since graduating, Mia has gained valuable clinical experience working within a clinic locally. Additionally, she has worked further afield in Shropshire, running her own private sports therapy business.

Alongside her clinical work, Mia has supported local sports teams such as Malvern RFC, Gloucester Rugby youth camps, and Worcester Warriors Centre of Excellence, as well as providing placements for students.

Mia started working at the University of Worcester in September 2025, and is currently working towards obtaining her Post Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education.

Scope of Role at the University

Mia provides technical support to the sports therapy course, which includes maintenance of supplies, room set up, supervising massage and injury clinics and attending external placement events.

Internal Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for the sports therapy course.
  • Supervision of massage and injury clinics.

External Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to Sports Franchises.
  • Provide support and supervision of students at external sporting events.
  • Promote and organise external placements and events.
