Matthew has 24 years experience in the ambulance service and 17 years as a paramedic, gaining advanced status in 2013. He began part-time (HPL) at University of Worcester for the paramedic science team in 2015 and offered a full time position in 2016.

Matthew was born and spent most of his life in Worcester so he is very familiar with the area, which is also, where he practiced as a paramedic.

Teaching & Research

Teaching interests

I teach the Paramedic Science Foundation degree, soon to become BSc.

I lead the module FDPH 2003, Bioscience for practice 3. This includes advanced life support (adult & paediatric), pathophysiology, pharmacology and the whole range of ambulance clinical skills, such as intubation and advanced needle skills.

Research interests

Currently studying for Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education, which includes an active research module. For this, I am researching peer-assisted learning.
