Jenny has been a Registered Nurse since 1984 and has worked in primary care as a District Nurse and Macmillan Palliative Clinical Nurse Specialist.

She worked in secondary care from 2008 – 2022, roles included Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialist and End of Life Facilitator, Governance Lead Medicine, Deputy Director of Nursing Medicine and Acting Divisional Director of Nursing Specialty Medicine, Clinical Service Improvement Lead Nurse Frailty (Integrated Care of Older Peoples Services).

Teaching Interests

Jenny teaches on the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice and BSc Nursing Programmes.

She is Admissions Tutor for the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice/MSc Advanced Clinical Practice Apprenticeship.

Her special interests include:

  • Complex Decision Making
  • Leadership Education and Developing Others
  • Care of the Frail Older Person
  • Palliative and End of Life Care
  • Independent Non-Medical Prescribing
  • Quality and Service Improvement having completed the NHSI ACT Academy Quality Service Improvement Redesign (QSIR) Practitioner Programme in 2018 qualifying as a Teaching Faculty Associate to deliver the national curriculum.
