Jenny is a Registered General Nurse and has worked in primary care as a District Nurse and Macmillan Palliative Clinical Nurse Specialist. She joined Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust in 2008 and has held a number of clinical roles including Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialist and End of Life Facilitator.

Other senior roles within the organisation have included, Governance Lead Medicine, Deputy Director of Nursing Medicine and Acting Divisional Director of Nursing Specialty Medicine.

From 2018 - 2021 she established the new role of Clinical Service Improvement Lead Nurse Frailty (Integrated Care of Older Peoples Services) working with the wider Worcestershire Health Economy. She currently combines the role of Lecturer with that of Quality Improvement Matron.

Teaching Interests

Jenny teaches on the Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice Programme

Her special interests include:

  • Care of the Frail Older Person
  • Palliative and End of Life Care
  • Quality and Service Improvement having completed the NHSI ACT Academy Quality Service Improvement Redesign (QSIR) Practitioner Programme in 2018 qualifying as a Teaching Faculty Associate to deliver the national curriculum
