Franchesca has been a nurse since 2013. She earned her bachelor’s degree in the Philippines and worked in the Medical-Surgical Ward and in the Cardiac Diagnostics and Rehabilitation Unit for 5 years.

She then continued her nursing career abroad and worked as a Care Home and School Clinic Nurse in Abu Dhabi, UAE for 2 years.

She came to the UK in 2019 and worked as a nurse in the Care of the Elderly Ward for 3 years, then became a Clinical Educator for Pre-Registration and Preceptorship work streams for 4 years before joining the University of Worcester as a lecturer in nursing.

As a Clinical Professional Advocate, Franchesca has a wide experience in facilitating individual and group Restorative Clinical Supervision (RCS) sessions for students, preceptees, and colleagues. She did monthly Student Listening Events and collaborated with various specialist teams, introducing them to students during their placements to enhance their clinical experiences.

Furthermore, Franchesca has always been keen in exploring different Teaching Learning Activities such as Simulation, Gamification, and Case Scenarios to promote student engagement and blended formative assessments. She has integrated these to her Professionalism and Accountability, Communication, Human Factors, and Leadership presentations for Preceptorship.
