Elizabeth began her career in Early Years education before retraining as a Diagnostic Radiographer, qualifying in 2017. She has since worked within a local NHS Trust, specialising in plain film imaging, theatre fluoroscopy, and CT. Supporting learners has always been the most rewarding part of her role, and this passion for education led her into higher education. After working as a guest lecturer, Elizabeth joined the university teaching team in 2025, where she combines her clinical experience with her commitment to student learning and development.

BSc Diagnostic Radiography 1st Class
BA Early Childhood Studies 1st Class
PgCert Practice Based Education
Society of Radiographer Practice Educator Status.
Teaching Interests
Elizabeth's teaching interests include modules such as DRAD1005 and DRAD1006, where she can integrate practical clinical experience with academic study to help students develop both their knowledge and professional skills. Elizabeth is particularly passionate about patient-centred care, ensuring that students understand the importance of compassionate practice alongside technical excellence in radiography.
Research Interests
Elizabeth's research interests focus on widening participation in radiography education, addressing barriers to access, and exploring student experiences during clinical placement. These interests are informed by her own experience of entering the profession later in life and by her work as a Clinical Practice-Based Educator, where she has supported learners from diverse backgrounds throughout their clinical training.
Membership of Professional Bodies
HCPC registered
Society of Radiographers. Elizabeth is actively involved with the society and is both an SOR learning representative and holds their Practice Educator Accreditation Status.
External Roles
Alongside Elizabeth's teaching role, she works clinically as a Practice-Based Educator for Radiology at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. This involves her supporting learners of all types and backgrounds, fostering positive learning environments, and ensuring access to appropriate educational resources. Elizabeth continues to work clinically as a radiographer and often has the opportunity to work alongside University of Worcester students on placement, helping them bridge the gap between theory and practice.
