Laila is interested in research that advances the theory as well as the practice of various organisations. Her research expertise lies in the internationalisation of firms and subsequent capability development. She is also interested in migrant entrepreneurship and the relationship between migrant entrepreneurs and their customers. Laila is a member of the Complex Customer Interactions Research (CCIR) group and the Applied Research group reflecting her interests in consumer research and providing research support to businesses.
Laila teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students on a variety of subjects that relate to her research including global strategy, international business and strategic marketing.
