University of Worcester Shortlisted for Two WhatUni Student Choice Awards

The shortlistings reflect the University’s strong commitment to providing an outstanding student experience, both academically and in day‑to‑day campus life.

The University’s recognition in the Career Prospects category builds on its exceptional national reputation for graduate employability. Worcester is the top multi‑subject university for sustained employment, further study, or both (LEO 2017–2025), with 96% of graduates progressing into work or further study.

This success stems from Worcester’s whole‑institution approach to employability, in which academic schools, specialist careers teams, and professional services work together to embed career development into every stage of the student journey. With more than 1,000 employer partnerships, the University creates rich pathways into professional roles across public services, the NHS, education, business, and the voluntary sector.

The University’s shortlisting in the Halls and Student Accommodation category highlights the quality, value, and supportive environment of its on‑campus living options. Student feedback consistently praises the sense of community, convenience, and support that living in halls provides, qualities that have contributed to Worcester’s strong reputation for student satisfaction.

The news comes after it was announced last month that Worcester is on the final shortlist for University of the Year in the 2026 Graduate Futures Institute’s Academic Employability Awards.

Professor David Green CBE, Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive, said: “It’s wonderful to be recognised in two categories that matter so much to students at the WhatUni Student Choice Awards. This reflects the dedication of our staff and partners who work every day to create an environment where students feel supported, inspired, and ready for their future.”

The winners of the WhatUni Student Choice Awards 2026 will be announced later this year in May.
