Free Talk on Student Finance

Huw
Huw Pritchard, Schools and Colleges Manager

Held by colleagues at the University of Worcester, the talk titled ‘Making Your Student Finance Application’ is on Wednesday (14th) evening at 5.15pm and is open to anyone going to any university this September, not just those applying to the University of Worcester.

The talk will cover topics including the types of loans you can apply for, the application process, grants and bursaries, budgeting, and how repayment works.

The University’s experts will also be on hand for any questions that participants have.

Huw Pritchard, Schools and Colleges Manager, said: “Going to university can be a daunting prospect and we want to help make this transition as smooth and as stress-free as possible.”

He continued: “There’s lots of information about student finance available online, but very little focusses on the process of applying for it and the net benefits of becoming a graduate.”

He added: “Whether you’re looking at studying with us here at the University of Worcester or elsewhere in England, the talk will be useful for you because everyone uses the same application and finance system.”

The talk will also feature colleagues who recently graduated from the University, who’ll be sharing their experiences and top tips for those applying for finance this year.

The talk begins at 5:15 pm, and you can book your free place on the University of Worcester’s website by following this link, or email study@worc.ac.uk to request a link.
