Wendy is a part-time PhD student in the School of Allied Health and Community at the University of Worcester. She is also a Queen’s Nurse.
Wendy’s main research interests are palliative/end of life care and homelessness. She is currently conducting an interpretive phenomenology into the end of life priorities of homeless adults in the UK.

Wendy was awarded a Florence Nightingale Foundation Research Scholarship is very grateful to the FNF foundation and also to The Band Trust for funding the first year of her PhD.
Prior to commencing her PhD, Wendy carried out a phenomenological enquiry into the perceptions of hostel staff regarding hostel-based palliative care for homeless people.
In addition to working towards her PhD, Wendy works as a palliative care nurse (prescriber) at a local Hospice (Myton Hospice, Warwick). She also works in a voluntary capacity with homeless people in Birmingham City Centre (BCM Care Centre).
