If arriving by train and you have the time, the walk from Worcester Foregate Street station to the St John's Campus takes approximately 25 to 30 minutes. To help find your way you can download a directional map.

The St Johnís campus is easily reached by local and national cycle routes and has many cycle parking facilities on campus. Use the cycle route journey planner to help work out your route.

There are 423 locations throughout the St Johnís campus where you can secure your bike. The vast majority are Sheffield-type hoops and many are located under cover. Showers and lockers are available at all campuses.

Please see our Facilities for Cyclists campus map to see all cycle parking locations. On this map the location and opening hours of the bike shop can also be found. Students and staff can apply for secure cycle storage.

Worcester is served by the M5 motorway and is accessible from Junctions 6 and 7. Under normal traffic conditions all university campuses can be reached in 15-20 minutes from Junction 7. The University is clearly signposted once you come off at Junction 7.†

Car Parking
There several car parks around the St Johnís Campus, car park M (Long Stay) is the largest and cheapest car park. To find each car park please view the St Johnís campus map and for the latest prices for each car park please see the Finance webpage. A car displaying a Registered Disabled badge will not be charged a car park charge.

Student Permits
Student car parking permits are available, for pricing and information please visit the Student car parking information page.

Residential Guests
A residential guest can purchase a 24 hour permit, and park their car close to the Halls of Residence.

Worcester is served by two train stations:

Worcester Foregate Street - situated in the city centre and is a 25-30 minute walk from the University or 5 minutes by taxi.

Worcester Shrub Hill - is a 40-45 minute walk from the University or 10 minutes by taxi.

Bristol Temple Meads - 1 hour 20 minutes

Cardiff Central - 1 hour 50 minutes

Exeter Central - 3 hours 25 minutes

London Paddington - 2 hours 20 minutes

The numbers 31, 31B, and 31E Henwick Park Services operated by First travel connect the St John's Campus to all university campuses and to the City Centre Bus Station. The bus stop is located outside the Students' Union building. Download the bus routes map for more detail.

National Express Coaches serve the city of Worcester, arriving into Worcester Bus Station which is situated in the Crowngate Shopping Centre in the City Centre.

31B UniShuttle

The 31B UniShuttle runs every 10 minutes from 8am to 8.15pm Monday to Friday with the 31 and 31B.

The first 31B bus leaves St Johnís Campus at 07.56, and from 9.36 is every 36 and 6 minutes past the hour until the final service at 17.56. You can catch the direct 31B from the Bus Station every 10 and 40 minutes past the hour from 9am. Even though the last UniShuttle leaves the Bus Station at 17.40 the 31 and 31E buses continue until 19:47 (23:17 on Friday and Saturday)

Travelling by bus can cost as little as 60p per journey with a 10-journey ticket (£6) which can be purchased 'on bus' only from the driver when university students present their student ID cards. These 10-journey tickets are valid on the service 31 group (31/A/B/C/E) only. Alternatively you can buy a £1 single ticket from the driver.
