Open days
Next Open Event:
Sunday 23 June 2013, 10am-3pm
The best way to get a feel for what the University of Worcester is all about is to visit us at an Open Event. Open Events give you the chance to find out more about the type of academic and social life you can expect here.
Download the Postgraduate Open Evening programme.
You will have the chance to speak to current students and lecturers on the varied and wide range of part-time, flexible and full-time courses we offer. You will also have the opportunity to have a tour of our facilities, including new science laboratories, computing and graphical design suites and sports venues.
Planning your day
Study choices, accommodation preferences, general University queries and your own hobbies and interests can all influence what you want to get out of your time here. The great thing about our Open Events is that they’re flexible – you can turn up anytime between the start and the end of the event and structure your afternoon with as much or as little as you’d like.
Coming to university is about more than just life on campus. Venture into Worcester itself to see the bigger picture.
Make sure you take a campus tour so that you can see the facilities for yourself. Don’t forget the accommodation if you’re thinking about living in Halls.
It may be useful to try and plan what you want to find out on the day beforehand. Use the checklist below to help:
Places and people to visit at our Open Events
Visit to subject fair
Admissions queries
General talks (e.g. Finance, Student Life) – around 60 minutes each
Campus tour, including viewing the accommodation – around 45 minutes to 1 hour
Sporting facilities
Shuttle bus and visit to City Campus, The Hive, Riverside and The Garage – around 1 to 2 hours
City of Worcester visit – around 1 to 1.5 hours
Make the most of your day
In order to choose the right university, you need to ask questions.
You need to develop your opinions and ultimately choose somewhere that will challenge you, help you achieve your career aspirations and be a welcoming place that you can call home.
