RLF Academic Writers in Residence

Our Academic Writers in Residence offer confidential, one-to-one tutorials for students in all subject areas and to support all aspects of academic writing.

Struggling with an essay or dissertation? Grappling with grammar and punctuation? Stuck on structuring? Finding academic writing a challenge? Getting good grades but keen to get even better ones? Our two Academic Writers in Residence are here to help.

Sue Fletcher is a novelist and poet. Her debut novel, “Eve Green” won the 2004 Whitbread First Novel Award. Her most recent novel – “Let Me Tell You About A Man I Knew” – was published by Virago in summer 2016.

Caroline Sanderson is a non-fiction writer, editor and books journalist. She has published five non-fiction books including biographies of both Jane Austen and the chart-topping singer Adele.  She also co-hosts a monthly Book Club programme on BBC Radio Gloucestershire.

Our free service is provided by the Royal Literary Fund which sponsors over 80 writers to work in universities across the UK.
