Language requirements & support

International Centre accepts IELTS, Cambridge or TOEFL certificates as a proof of English language fluency:

Undergraduate courses

Undergraduate courses require a minimum IELTS of 6.0, TOEFL IBT 79-80, TOEFL Paper Based 550, Pearson 51 or Cambridge Advanced C.

Postgraduate courses 

Postgraduate courses require a minimum IELTS of 6.5, TOEFL IBT 88, TOEFL Paper Based 575, Pearson 59 or Cambridge Advanced B.

Other equivalent English qualifications will be considered.

Additional Language Support

The International Centre along with the Language Centre organises a range of preparatory English Classes for students who need to improve their English before they enrol onto their Bachelor’s or Master’s courses.

We offer 4, 6 and 12 week pre-sessional courses during the summer period as well as additional IELTS preparation classes.

University of Worcester is also offering a foundation year in partnership with the Gloucester College.
