We accept IELTS, Pearson and many Cambridge certificates as a proof of English language fluency on our degree courses, as well as many other English language qualifications.
If you are currently applying for a pre-degree (Level3) course (for example pre-sessional or International foundation) and need a Tier 4 Visa to study at the University of Worcester you must have a Secure English Language Test.
If you took this exam on or before the 5 April 2015 then you can use one of the SELTs listed here.
On or after the 6 April 2015 you must have taken a test at an approved test centre and it is an IELTS test for UK visas and Immigration (UKVI) purposes. A list can be found by clicking here.
For degree courses at Level 4 or above (at Undergraduate or Postgraduate level) the following apply:
Undergraduate courses usually require a minimum IELTS of 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in any component) or Pearson 59 (with no less than 51 in each component) or various Cambridge certificates. Other equivalent English qualifications will also be considered. Some courses may require a higher score for professional accreditation or registration.
Postgraduate courses usually require a minimum IELTS of 6.5 (with no less than 5.5 in any component) or Pearson 70 (with no less than 51 in each component) or various Cambridge certificates. Other equivalent English qualifications will also be considered.
