Teaching and assessment contents
Digital Content Creation is a hands-on course that combines creative thinking with practical production skills. You'll learn how to plan, create and share content for different audiences, platforms and purposes, while building a portfolio of work that reflects the kind of projects you'll encounter in industry.
Most topics are introduced through lectures, discussions and demonstrations before being put into practice in workshops, studios and live project settings. You might be filming and editing video content, producing podcasts, creating social media campaigns, designing websites, capturing photography, or experimenting with new digital tools and technologies.
Throughout the course, you'll work on individual and group projects that mirror professional creative environments. You'll learn how to develop ideas, understand audiences, solve real communication challenges and use data and feedback to improve your work.
You'll be encouraged to explore the social and cultural impact of digital content, as well as the legal and ethical responsibilities that come with creating and publishing it. We aim to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where you'll feel confident sharing ideas, testing new approaches and learning from others.
From your first week, you'll be assigned a Personal Academic Tutor (PAT) who will support you throughout your degree. You'll have regular one-to-one and group tutorials each year, and you can contact your tutor whenever you need additional guidance or support.
