Research Interests

The relationships between affect, goals, performance and goal disengagement in both endurance sports and team sports.  
Analysis of the relationships between psychological factors and physiological factors affecting pacing and performance in endurance based sports.  
Analysis of the psychological responses to sport injury and the change in these during rehabilitation from injury.  
The prevalence and intensity of Injury contagion in team sports.

Professional Interests

Psychological techniques for performance enhancement in both team and individual sports.

Postgraduate Research Supervision

Current supervision of PhD student in the area of "Testing the Hierarchical model of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation at the situational level in sport and exercise."

I would be interested in supervising students in the areas of:

Psychological responses to sport injury and rehabilitation
Analysis of psychophysiological factors affecting pacing and performance in competitive endurance based sports
Oscillations in affect during training and competition in sports comprising mixed pairs
