A welcoming monthly workshop for Shakespeare enthusiasts and those completely new to the playwright's work

Worcester's Shakespeare Circle returns to The Hive this autumn following the success of its first series earlier this year.

Led by Maggie Tildesley, Senior Lecturer in Primary Education at the University of Worcester, and Tom Mandall, Academic Liaison Librarian, the Circle offers a welcoming space for both seasoned Shakespeare enthusiasts and those completely new to Shakespeare's work.

Through informal discussion, shared reading and accessible drama activities, participants are encouraged to explore Shakespeare's plays together. The Circle has developed a growing community of readers, theatre lovers and newcomers to the plays.

Joining this year's programme will be specialists from the University of Worcester, including Senior Lecturer Dr Daniel Somerville and Professor Nicoleta Cinpoeş, who will share their expertise and perspective with the group.

Each session focuses on a different Shakespeare play, combining discussion and interactive activities designed to make the works accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

The first session in the autumn programme will explore As You Like It.
