Free CPD for Secondary School Teachers and Leaders

The University of Worcester is pleased to offer a free CPD session for secondary school teachers and leaders across Worcestershire and the surrounding area.

Led by Dr Ben Looker, Senior Lecturer in the Institute of Education, this engaging and practical session explores behaviour management through the lens of teacher-pupil relationships, trust and the implicit social contract that exists within schools

Drawing on research into social interactions and behaviours, participants will gain practical strategies for managing challenging behaviour, maintaining clear boundaries and expectations, and building positive relationships with pupils.

The session includes interactive discussion, practical takeaways and resources that can be applied directly in school settings.

Who should attend?

  • Secondary school teachers
  • Middle and senior leaders
  • Pastoral and behavioural leads
  • SEND and inclusion practitioners

Delivered by the University of Worcester's Institute of Education, whose teacher training provision is rated Outstanding by Ofsted.

This CPD session isn't suitable for students or those not currently working in secondary school environments.
