Take a well‑deserved break and join us for a relaxed drop‑in social designed to help you unwind and recharge. Enjoy a free hot drink, meet friendly faces and connect with our Student Wellbeing Champions in a warm, welcoming space.
One of the highlights of the session is the chance to spend time with our gentle therapy dogs, whose calm presence is known to reduce stress and lift your mood. Whether you’d like a quiet moment with a fluffy companion or simply want to enjoy the atmosphere, this event offers a soothing escape from busy student life.
There’s no pressure and no need to book. Just drop in, say hello and enjoy the joy that only tail‑wagging friends can bring. It’s the perfect opportunity to relax, meet new people and give your wellbeing a little boost.
Do I need to book?
No booking needed. Just drop in at any time during the event.
Is it free?
Yes! All drinks and the dog‑meet experience are completely free.
Are the dogs safe?
Yes. All visiting dogs are calm, experienced, and accompanied by their trained handlers.
Can I stroke the dogs?
Yes, and their handlers will guide you.
What if I'm nervous around dogs?
You’re still welcome. The space is arranged so students can enjoy the event without coming into close contact with the dogs. Staff can also assist in introducing you to the dogs if you'd like to meet them more slowly.
Can I bring a friend?
Absolutely. It’s a social, welcoming space for everyone.
Are the dogs available for photos?
Photos are usually fine with handler permission, but please avoid flash and be respectful of the dogs’ comfort.
Is this a counselling session?
No, it’s a gentle social and wellbeing event, not a clinical appointment, but Student Wellbeing Champions are available for peer support and to signpost to other support services.
