There was never a more exciting time to train to teach RE. Many people are unsure if they have suitable qualifications and backgrounds for this career. Whatever your faith (or none), whatever your undergraduate discipline, this free online session will deal with the myths and give you clear guidance about what is required and what support is available (including how to apply for various grants, one of which is £4,000). You will be given advice on how to develop your subject knowledge before and during the PGCE.

During the webinar, you’ll gain an in-depth understanding of the RE PGCE Secondary course structure, including how school placements work and what classroom experience looks like. You will be advised on the application process, entry requirements and what to expect during your Postgraduate Certificate in Education at UW. You’ll also learn about career prospects and progression opportunities after completing your PGCE.

This is your chance to hear from our subject leader, ask questions in a live Q&A and get practical advice to help you prepare for your teacher training journey. Whether you’re a graduate exploring teaching routes or a professional looking for a rewarding career change, this webinar will give you the knowledge and confidence to take the next step.
