Role Summary

The Education Administrator provides administrative support to academic staff within the PGCE Primary Core and School Direct teams.  In this role, Tracey supports the Course Leader to ensure the efficient management and running of the Course and is the central point of contact for staff and students.  In addition, Tracey also fulfils a PA role to the Head of Department (Primary).

Role & Responsibility

  • Responding in a timely manner to any emails or enquiries from staff or students
  • Liaising with Student Records and Admissions to ensure student information is kept updated
  • Liaising with Timetabling to finalise and circulate timetables to students and staff
  • Arranging weekly interviews, keeping accurate records and providing recruitment data to the Course Leader and senior management
  • Organising induction events and conferences
  • Arranging External Examiner visits and attending Exam Boards
  • Co-ordinating Course surveys
  • Monitoring student attendance
  • Updating Course Handbooks and Course calendars
  • Administering and maintaining the Primary Team calendar
  • Co-ordinating the diary for the Head of Department (Primary)
  • Organising, drafting agendas, completing minutes and follow up actions for Primary Team and Course meetings
