Before joining the University of Worcester STEM project team Susan was a Deputy Head in a Secondary school. Susan’s role involved leadership of assessment, quality assurance and primary links. She also managed the performance of subject leaders.
After leaving a formal educational role within a school Susan became Head of Youth programmes for a national Educational Trust which aimed to inspire young people to develop a range of positive learning habits and attitudes. Students worked on practical STEM activities and enjoyed problem solving. They improved their confidence and they became more resilient and better at working as part of a team.
Susan is an enthusiastic and positive person who enjoys working as part of a team to try and help provide opportunities and experiences for young people which have the potential to transform their thinking and influence their career choices.
