Shaun is a lecturer in Paramedic Science at the University of Worcester. He began working with West Midlands Ambulance Service in 2009 before progressing to a Paramedic in 2013. His duties included working on the front line on a double crewed ambulance and on a rapid response vehicle. Before his career in the Ambulance Service, Shaun was a retained firefighter for Hereford and Worcester Fire service.

His academic career led him to gain a 1st class BSc (Hons) in Health Sciences. He won the Outstanding Mentor of the Year award. This experience highlighted his desire to support and develop students to become Paramedics. He has since progressed to Clinical Team Mentor, which involves mentoring members of the ambulance service and university students by delivering up to date clinical skills and training.

Shaun currently lectures part-time the University of Worcester whilst working with the West Midlands Ambulance service. Through his passion for helping people, he shares his operational skills and knowledge with his students in the classroom.
