For Paul, it feels as though the circle has completed as he studied and graduated from Worcester in 1988 and 30 years later with a diverse and varied career in Primary Education, including 11 years as a Head teacher, and Local Authority advisory work, has returned to Worcester in April 2018 to be part of the University of Worcester School Effectiveness Team, a section of the School of Education. His role is to work with and support schools to secure and sustain improved outcomes for pupils, staff and the leaders. It is a holistic approach to school improvement and is based on schools working together and being more as a collaboration than the sum of the parts. In addition, the School Effectiveness Team has also begun to work with other public sector organisations to share the expertise and underpinning leadership principles secured though the extensive and sustained school improvement projects.
