Jamie joined the University in March 2019 following a successful period at Wolverhampton Wanderers FC where he completed a placement alongside an MSc in Sport Performance Analysis. Jamie progressed from this to becoming the club’s first ever Loan Player Analyst where he was tasked with delivering the analysis provision for all Wolverhampton Wanderers loan players.

His passions continue to lie with a focus on performance analysis with Jamie still a key part of local team AFC Telford’s preparations. He also now leads the provision of analysis for the University of Worcester franchise teams where he can utilise his mix of applied experience together with his technical skills and theoretical knowledge.

Qualifications

  • MSc Applied Performance Analysis, University of Worcester (2019)
  • BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science, University of Chichester (2017)
  • Currently accredited with ISPAS – Level 2.

Scope of Role at University

Jamie’s role at the University is to demonstrate practical techniques and provide training to staff and students on specialist equipment and software within the School of Sport and Exercise Science. This also includes exploring the use of new technology including software packages and apps for potential use in teaching.

Internal Responsibilities

  • Managing the performance analysis specific strand to the equipment loans system.

  • Managing technical skills programs for MSc in Sport Performance Analysis.

  • Calibration, servicing and maintenance of equipment.

  • Supporting practical activities for students and school workshops/open days.

  • Stock control of consumables and assets.

Jamie has previously worked at Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, AFC Telford, Portsmouth FC, England Colleges and England Universities.
