Gillian is a part-time PhD student in Worcester Business School.
Gillian’s main research interest is physical movement and well-being. Her mixed-methods PhD research seeks to develop a movement intervention for the sedentary office workplace, based on Rudolf Laban’s movement theories, and investigate the impact of the intervention on well-being.
Her supervisors are Dr Holly Andrews, Dr Rebecca Jones and Professor Jan Francis-Smythe, as well as receiving advice from Dr Carol-Lynne Moore.
In addition to working towards her PhD Gillian is the Course Leader for the BA (Hons) in Performing Arts at Hereford College of Arts. She also teaches Dance, Movement and Performing Arts on the University of the Arts London Further Education programme at the Art College. She also leads and facilitates movement group workshops and choreographs for various projects.
