The Religion and Society Research Group, along with Worcester Cathedral, have organised a free live talk from Prof John Parham entitled “Searching for God in the Air That We Breathe: A Talk about Religion, Photosynthesis, and Climate Change.”
People often think of science and religion in conflict. But as Prof John Parham shows in this talk, religion played a major role in the discovery of photosynthesis: the process by which plants convert sunshine into the air that we breathe. Prof Parham suggests that an appreciation of photosynthesis, and its religious context, may help us to face the challenge of climate change.
