Kennard is considered to be one of Britain's most irreverent and energetic young poets and his work combines darkly witty matter with whimsy. His 2nd collection, The Harbour Beyond the Movie, was shortlisted for the Forward Prize in 2007, making him the youngest poet to be nominated. Cain, his fifth collection, was published by Penned in the Margins in 2016 and shortlisted for the Dylan Thomas Prize. His first novel, The Transition, was published by 4th Estate in 2017.
Isabel Galleymore’s work has featured in magazines including Poetry and the London Review of Books. In 2016 she was a poet-in-residence at the Tambopata Research Centre in the Amazon rainforest. In 2017 she received an Eric Gregory Award. Her debut collection, Significant Other, was published by Carcanet in 2019 and was shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best First Collection. She teaches at the University of Birmingham.
