Alia Pathan is an interdisciplinary artist, writer, musician and researcher invested in the conditions of memory, technology and subjectivity in our socio-political landscape.
Alia has exhibited nationally and internationally including: Mount Florida Screenings at GoMA, “Material Cryptographies” at Tenderpixel London, Independent Art Spaces Festival Beijing, Sunscreen collateral project 56th Venice Biennale, 4th Moscow International Biennale of Young Art and LOOP Barcelona.
Their pioneering research in the “White Tiger Project” manifested as the first archive of second generation East African Asian Diaspora in UK focusing on women/non-binary/queer women’s stories from the second generation.
